I started working on this collection of poems over the summer, without really knowing where it was going. As I continue to write, a common theme has unfolded - an enchantment with the basic experiences of life that I think challenges the popular social consciousness and promotes a sense of unity and the aspiration of cultural progress.
Yet this broad theme comes from my own personal growth. As the collection evolves, I want to write poems from the heart that mean something to me but can still extend a universal sense of what it is to be human today in our world. These are my Poems from Rivard Street.
